TREND REPORT: LONG BOBS
That long bob, a.k.a, ‘the lob’ sported by Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde, has become as iconic as the ill-fated couple at the center of the story. This summer’s seen a slew of lookalikes, albeit slightly messier-and minus the beret.Emily Blunt and Teen Vogue Fashion News Director Jane Keltner De Valle wear theirs sharp and sleek, the opposite of Ali Larter and Olivia Wilde’s surf spray-infused looks. Mad Men's Jessica Pare turned her retro cut into a modern lob with soft curls, while Annabelle Dexter-Jones cut blunt bangs for an Alexa Chung -like style. Our favorite, model Ruby Aldridge, masters the flat-iron curl and shows off perfectly blunt ends. In fact, the collection of long bobs above demonstrates why the hairstyle’s become so popular: it leaves you with enough hair to change up your look, but not so much that styling becomes a chore.
